Aston Martin Valhalla: British luxury automobile giant Aston Martin unveiled the complete specification of the electric hybrid supercar Valhalla on Wednesday. As can be expected the 2023 Valhalla has a different look than what was shown in October of 2021 and the car is restyled for the next year in many respects. First, it delivers even more power output; second, its torque figure tops that of the newly revealed Vanquish V12, making it the most torque-focused car in Aston Martin lineup.
Engine Details of Aston Martin Valhalla
The Valhalla, employs Twin-turbocharged 4.0 liter flat-plane-crank V8 powerplant along with three electric motors. Front axle motor, rear axle motor and third one is starter generator comes under the new developed 8 speed duplicate clutch automatic transmission. Altogether, the powertrain generates an acceptable overall power of 1 079 PS and maximum torque of 1 110 Nm. Combined the V8 sourced from Mercedes-Benz will produce 828hp or 76.7% of the car’s output, the electric motors add another 251 hp or 23.3%.
Valhalla leaves plug-in hybrid competition behind, including Lamborghini Temerario with 920 hp, Ferrari 296 GTB with 830 hp and McLaren Artura with 680 horsepower. To minimizes the weight, the S-LC even has no reverse gear in its dual-clutch transmission; it uses electric motors instead. It accelerates from standstill to 100kmh in less than 2.5 seconds the car has a max speed governed at 350 kmh. It means that many necessary technologies are integrated into the car.
An electronic limited slip differential guarantees the balanced distribution of torque between the V8 and electric motors. In EV mode, it can boast of a 14km range and a top speed of 140kph using the front motors only, during normal operation electric power assists both axles.
Exclusive Exterior of Aston Martin Valhalla
