Renault Dacia Reveals Duster Soul of Dakar, Will Launch In The Year 2025

Renault Dacia, a sister car company, first unveiled the Duster Soul of Dakar limited editions in order to mark the brands participation in the next year Dakar rally. This particular show car has been designed with this in mind, and it is now known that this particular car is in fact a one off however the companies CEO has dropped heavy implications that such a production version of the car, or at least something similar may be on the market soon.

The Duster Soul of Dakar Edition

Specifically for Dakar, Duster receives contrasting black, grey and orange paint job based on Dacia Sandrider that is entering the upcoming Dakar rally. For better look and feel, unique roof rack is installed which includes waterproof duffle bag, cargo box, and shovel which allows occupants to travel on rough terrains. On the inside, there are hooks to accommodate more amenities such as other smartphones, tablets, and such like.

Fortunately, when it comes to enhancements of the special edition Duster, nothing mechanical is touched other than the cosmetic changes. They have a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine offering 128hp with a manual six-speed gear box and an electric AWD.

Officially, the Soul of Dakar is being called a one-time concept by Dacia, but speaking to our sister publication, Autocar UK, CEO Denis Le Vot let on that the opportunity might be used to better link the brand’s road cars to the rally. He said that perhaps a taste and feel of the Dakar car could be used in some limited series or something similar, but they will look to it.

Launch Details of Renault Duster India

Renault has confirmed that the new Duster model will be launched later this year in 2025. Besides, a Nissan version of the model will also be added to the offering shortly after the above launch.
