Honda Amaze CNG: The new-generation Amaze has been recently introduced by Honda, however, as for the previous model, it does not feature the CNG kit installed directly at the production line. But on the same note, customers will be able to install a CNG kit at the dealers’ recommendation.
Know About The Honda Amaze CNG Conversion Process
Unlike the new Dzire which has a factory fitted CNG kit, Honda will sell the Amaze only with a petrol engine from the factory. Nevertheless, Honda has asked its dealers to help in converting their vehicles to CNG by working with accredited fitment centers from RTO. Customers can purchase the petrol variant and then decide for the conversion which is well in practice for the old model of Amaze.
However, none of the CKD CNG conversion process is carried out at the factory but all manufactured vehicles come with manufacturer warranties. The conversion costs about Rs 1 lakh With state taxes added to the final price package, the rate may vary. The buyers, however, must sign other papers at the dealer after the conversion in order to retain the factory warranty. The dealer will then take the same vehicle back to the RTO for re-registration the fuel type has to be changed to petrol CNG.
Powertrain of Honda Amaze CNG
From the production line, the Amaze comes with a 90hp 1.2-litre petrol engine, but as is usual with CNG automobiles, the power will be slightly down tuned. The CNG conversion is available only in the model with the manual gearbox.
