Honda Amaze Strategy: Famous Company Honda aims to replicate what it has done with the existing 5th generation City; continuing to manufacture and distribute the new third-gen subcompact Amaze alongside the older second generation model. Earlier, the company had offered the fourth generation and fifth generation City models for many years, replacing the earlier model with the latter when the BS6 Phase 2 emission standards were introduced.
Positioning of the Amaze Generations
The outgoing second generation Amaze will be priced lower than the latest third generation model that has just rolled of the lot. Honda has said that before the second-gen new-launch the Amaze models will be cut down to just two offerings that the second-gen new-launch model will offer only a lower-spec model variant. On the other hand, the third-generation Honda Amaze recently launched in the market does not offer a factory fitted base model as even the V trim under it comes with plenty of comfort and convenience features if offer additional addition.
Pricing Strategy of Honda Amaze
This strategy is hoped to assist Honda continue to be provide reasonable and attractive against rivaling models like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire alongside the Hyundai Aura, the two models that are most on paper. The new third generation Amaze starts at 8 lakh (ex-showroom) which is 1.21 lakh higher than its entry level sedan, the Dzire which costs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom) only. On the other hand, second-generation Amaze which was launched at ₹7,63,000(ex-showroom) will be more attractive to economically-conscious clients.
The current models on Honda website include two variants from the previous generation of the Amaze: the S and the VX; however the future may see only one model in the line up. Honda might also decide to lower the prices of the older second generation Amaze to make as much gap as possible between the second and the third generation models.
