Hyundai Creta EV Update: Hyundai plans to reveal brand new Creta EV at the upcoming 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo to be held in January, as reported by HT Auto.
Lifting spy shots of the Creta EV suggests that it will have quite a conventional look with the recently updated ICE model launched earlier this year. For self-learning, the use of keyless entry, connected taillight design, shark-fin antenna and rear bumper will be maintained by the EV. However, this model is slightly different as there is no tailpipe to suggest that it has been powered by electricity only.
The electric car specific design language will mean Hyundai may swap the conventional full-width radiator grille for a closed panel. It may also introduce new aerodynamically enhanced form aluminum wheels for the Creta EV . It is expected that it will be based on the latest version of Hyundai K2 platform that is to be designed for the EV variants.
Premium Interiors and Advanced Features
Like on its other premium model Creta the company is planning to deliver a rich and luxury interior of the car. Optional elements may include leatherette interior trim, an electric roof, and heated and ventilated front seats with electrical control. Presumably, the feature of the back row seat adjustment in two positions will be preserved.
Higher technology features which will be seen in the Creta EV include the type that halves the infotainment and the instrument cluster, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It will also likely come equipped with Level 2 ADAS and a surround-view camera, as well as more convenience centred elements like a wireless charging pad, a cool box, and USB charging outlets for rear occupants.
Dynamic Range and Performance
Even though details of battery pack configuration and power output remain unclear at the moment, the Creta EV should come with market-standard battery capabilities, which should pose a threat to the Tata Curvv EV. It could have 45 kWh and 55 kWh battery pack options, which might allow for up to 500 kilometres on a full charge, which would put it well in the competitive range of its competitors.
The publication based on the information gathered forecasts the Hyundai Creta EV to be comfortably positioned as a contender in the field of electric vehicles with enhanced luxury, better equipment, and a long battery range. Anticipated battery choices range up to 500 km, the Creta EV holds a competitive position to engage with other contenders like Tata Curvv EV, and becoming a primary choice in the electric compact SUV category.
