Jaguar GT EV Testing: Jaguar is in the midst of a transformation as it embraces a new era of mobility. The brand is poised to become entirely electric with its forthcoming models and has recently revealed a sneak peek of its highly anticipated four-door GT. While still undergoing testing, the camouflaged prototype provides an initial glimpse of what to expect from this luxury electric vehicle, ahead of its global launch next year.
New Electric GT With New Appearance
The forthcoming all-electric Jaguar GT will unveil a fresh design language for the brand, which will shape the aesthetics of future saloons and SUVs in the lineup. This electric series will be constructed on the new Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) and manufactured at the Solihull facility in the UK.
The four-door GT is set to become the most powerful Jaguar ever, boasting an anticipated range of about 700 km and a performance output of around 600 bhp. Jaguar will showcase a glimpse of this new design language with the Design Vision Concept during Miami Art Week on December 2, 2024, providing us with our first look at the model’s final design.
Jaguar’s All-Electric Four-Door GT Prototype
The Jaguar four-door electric GT is scheduled for release in 2026, following the brand’s decision to halt global car sales in 2025. As part of its ‘Reimagine Strategy’, the automaker has already started testing prototypes of this ultra-luxury electric vehicle on roads in the UK. These prototypes have completed thousands of kilometers of both virtual and physical testing and will soon undergo further assessments on diverse road conditions around the globe.
The camouflaged Jaguar Super GT features a sleek, elongated hood, vertical front, and short overhang. Its slanted A-pillar, descending roofline, and long wheelbase hint at a spacious interior and sporty design. This upcoming flagship EV will compete with the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT and other premium electric cars.
Jaguar’s all-electric four-door GT combines innovative design, impressive performance, and advanced technology. With its striking looks and powerful capabilities, it is set to compete with top market contenders, shaping an exciting future for electric vehicles.
