Mahindra Rename Model: BE 6e electric SUV launched at ex-showroom, India price of Rs 18.90 lakh is now renamed to BE 6. However, the company still intends to seek legal protection in order to retrieve rights to preserve the name BE 6e.
However, Mahindra has claimed several reasons as to why it should take the legal recourse to reclaim the birth name of born-electric SUV that it says will directly compete with the upcoming Tata Curvv EV and the still unlaunched Hyundai Creta EV.

In answering InterGlobe Aviation organization that owns IndiGo Airlines copycat BE 6e trademark Mahindra affirmed that BE 6e trademark was registered in a Class 12 category other than the onewhere InterGlobe Aviation Limited has filed for. Additionally, let it clarify that the Mahindra trademarked the word ‘BE 6e’ or ‘BE SIXE’ and not the single ‘6E’ or ‘6e’.
Mahindra has also pointed out what it says are hypocrisies in InterGlobe’s arguments supported by the airline’s past conduct. Subsequently, the SUV maker said that in 2005 Tata Motors had written to InterGlobe complaining that the name IndiGo was similar to its Indigo sedan model sold at the time.

This first model in Mahindra’s born-electric vehicle lineup offers two battery pack options: 59kWh and 79kWh; achieving on the way MIDC ranges of 556km and 682km correspondingly. Some analysts believe that the deliveries are to begin this or the succeeding March 2025 while the company has not disclosed full costs of the cars in January.
