Mahindra XEV 7e: Based on the above and the information mentioned above there are new pictures that have been leaked of the Mahindra’s third electric car SUV, which is still under development from the INGLO platform and will be named the XEV 7e. The XEV 7e is set to rival other compact SUVs and is expected to be launched next year as the EV version to XUV700.
New Details of Mahindra XEV 7e
The photos show the XEV 7e as a car ready to be launched, while featuring similarities and many design cues borrowed from the BE 6e and XEV 9e concept models shown in 2022. Whilst The XEV 7e can be considered as three-row derivative of the coupe-SUV XEV 9e, it expands Mahindra’s ongoing electric project.
While using it in context of compact electric car may be premature, the term XEV 7e has not been confirmed as the official name of the model; however, Mahindra has trademarked it along side BE 6e and XEV 9e, the latter two of use for models already existing in the markets currently.
From the leaked images it would be seen that while the XEV 7e some of its features look more sedate and utilitarian compared to its peers, the three-row cabin setup partly borrowed from the XUV700. Its front appearance is inspired from XEV 9e with regard to the head lamps, closed grille and specially front bumper. On the sides, the XEV 7e looks almost identical to the XUV700, but the rear has some clearly Electric Vehicle inspired design flourishes. Even the rims are also made of metal and are aerodynamically made to resemble the XEV 9e.
Elegant Interior Features
Comparing interior of XEV 7e and XEV 9e, one can notice that instruments of two models are similar: the same three-screen panel and two-spoke steering wheel with glow-in-the-dark emblem. Exclusively for this model, it has reversed rake from other Mahindra EVs with captain’s chairs in the second row because of its normal roof imparting more than adequate headroom.
The remaining components of the running gears are still a mystery; however, the new model, XEV 7e, is likely to borrow powertrain architecture from the XEV 9e. Notably, slightly more info may be revealed as the newest expected market launch date looms closer to mid 2025.
