Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven Concept Makes Indian Debut, Will have A Perfect Blend of Futurism and Luxury

The German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz India has recently revealed its technology-rich vision concept called the ‘Vision One-Of-Eleven’ at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai. This concept car was designed at the Mercedes-Benz International Design Centre, Carlsbad, California and it is named after the very rare C111 experimental series of cars produced by the company between 1960 and 1970, with only 16 of them were built. The C111 was manufactured by a German brand for different tests and development purposes in the past.

Dynamic Features of New Vision One-Eleven

The Vision One-Eleven comes with aerodynamic cuts plan which is evident from the slim and spartan looks. It is also in metallic orange, although this was a hint of the colours to come as the revolutionary C111 prototype made clear later in the year. The pixel domain with oval shapes at both front and rear display show light functions for headlamp and lamp light in addition to receiving any message or set of patterns to be implanted.

A clear glass cover runs from the roof right up to the sides, the vehicle having no actual roof and no windows. Extending the design is reinforced by such iconic features as the gullwing doors which perfectly match the C111.

Elegant Interior of Vision One-Eleven

The interior of the Vision One-Eleven is dominated by board and clean design, however with strong references to futurism. Chrome-coloured bucket seats and an AMG sports steering wheel call for a design based on the Mercedes-AMG race cars. The pixel-display theme observed on the outside is felt on the inside, especially on the dashboard area and appears systematic.

Powerful Powertrain of Vision One-Eleven

In regards to the powertrain, the Vision One-Eleven is equipped with two axial-flux electric motors. Radial flux motors always comprise of larger stator lobes while in axial flux motors the stator and rotor are opposite to each other in a more compact design especially suitable for electric cars. The company has not released any power or range figures for the concept, but said that it’s sufficient that these motors can produce good power and torque.

The Vision One-Eleven car is the fifth exclusive ‘concept car’ that has been launched in India by Mercedes-Benz this year the other ‘concept cars’ include Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 Coupe, AMG GT6,Electric G-Class and the Project Maybach.
