Safety Risks Highlighted in Maybach S-Class
Mercedes-Benz recalls its Maybach S-Class vehicles following the announcement, produced between 29 April 2021 and 27 January 2024. With regard to the ECU software it may no longer be within the specified requirements as we know it today. This can well raise the exhaust temperatures to a level that it impacts other close components including the wiring harness of the engine or even the catalytic converter. Hence, there is the potential of loss of propulsion which when compounded with alert and the fire hazard risk is high.
Mercedes-Benz, however, has not provided a statement on the fix, but it is estimated that the fix will be done free of charge to customers. The legal dealers of these vehicles will probably reach out to owners of the affected vehicles to schedule an appointment for the remedial work.
The recent recall of Maybach S-Class proves that Mercedes-Benz India is very concern towards the safety of the car. To reduce customer frustration as officially communicates on the issue, free repairs and contact from dealers clarify the situation. They should make the necessary appointments to address the problems so as to improve safety and efficiency.
