New BMW M340i Launched: BMW India has unveiled the 2024 M340i xDrive, marking the latest update to the performance-oriented sedan. First introduced in 2021, the M340i offered a sportier version of the standard 3 Series, and now, the model has received a refresh. The locally assembled 2024 M340i is priced at Rs 74.90 lakh (ex-showroom), with orders currently being accepted for this dynamic sedan.
What New Can Be Found?
Since this is merely a model year update, the M340i receives only a few modifications. BMW has introduced new 19-inch black alloy wheels, adaptive suspension and an updated interior design that now includes Vernasca leather with M stitching. Additionally, two new color options have been added: Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red. The infotainment system has also been upgraded to BMW’s latest 8.5 OS.
BMW M340i Exclusive Features
The BMW M340i is built on the 3 Series platform but comes with sportier design elements both inside and out. Notable exterior upgrades include an M-specific black grille, M-specific ORVM housings, and dual exhaust tips. Shared design features with the standard 3 Series include dual L-shaped LED DRLs, adaptive LED headlights, and wraparound LED tail lights.
The BMW M340i’s cabin features M-specific details, including sport seats, a custom steering wheel and carbon fibre trim. It comes equipped with a 14.9-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, 3-zone climate control and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. For safety, it offers multiple airbags, cornering brake control (CBC), a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
BMW M340i Special Specifications
The BMW M340i is powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine that generates 374 PS and 500 Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels. The car also features an M-specific differential, brakes, and exhaust for enhanced performance.
