The new Honda Amaze has been launched and it should be in showrooms for customers to sample by mid of December, according to Autocar India. However, Honda Cars India has not announced any official bookings for a third-gen Amaze, however, unofficial dealerships for its booking are open as per certain industry sources. Honda started delivering its new Amaze a few days before its launch on December 4 to its dealers across the country.
New Honda Amaze To Compete With New Maruti Dzire
Together with the recently launched Dzire that set the new benchmark within the compact sedan segment, Honda is set to face massive pressure on the arrival of the third-gen Amaze.
From teasers unveiled earlier, then one must expect, that externally and internally the new Amaze will differ tremendously from the previous model. New model by Honda will try to replicate the success of City nameplate. From inside sources, it emerged the Amaze would draw styling cues from the current generation City with a more premium look and feel than the City but in a lighter, more affordable package.
Interior and Powertrain Details of New Amaze
Inside, Honda’s new Amaze is expected to have the same dashboard structure as that of Honda Elevate with the same infotainment system on the dashboard and the same switch gear. Only minor differences in color and possibly, the materials used can be sufficient to distinguish it.
Beneath the skin, however, the Amaze will continue to offer its current 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, offered with 5-speed manual and CVT auto options. Furthermore sources suggest that the carmaker is working on a CNG version of the Amaze and will be launched after sometime.
