New Toyota Camry: Toyota India is all set to launch the updated Camry sedan on December 11, marking the introduction of the ninth-generation model in the country. Although it retains the same platform as the previous version, the 2025 Camry brings significant updates, including a redesigned exterior and a host of new features. This represents the first major refresh for the Camry in India in over five years.
The SUV market’s stronghold impacting sedan sales, these improvements aim to reignite interest and boost its competitiveness in the segment. With a fresh look and enhanced offerings, it’s poised to make a strong statement in the premium sedan segment.
Toyota Camry With The Enhanced Design
The 2025 Toyota Camry presents a refreshed design that enhances its contemporary allure. At the front, C-shaped daytime running lights frame the newly designed headlights, seamlessly integrating with a black element that stretches across the width of the vehicle, creating a striking visual effect. The sedan also features a honeycomb-patterned grille, painted to match the body color, which extends downwards for a unified appearance.
While the overall shape remains similar to the previous model, the updated version showcases a more streamlined profile with a gently sloping roofline and a larger, sharply angled rear quarter window. At the back, the Camry is equipped with redesigned taillights and an updated bumper, further elevating its aesthetic appeal.
The latest Camry closely matches its predecessor in size, measuring 4915 mm in length, 1839 mm in width, 1445 mm in height, with an unchanged wheelbase of 2825 mm. The previous model measured 4885 mm, 1840 mm, and 1455 mm, respectively.
Toyota Camry Premium Interior Design
The new Camry’s interior features a revamped design, highlighted by a 12.3-inch infotainment screen above the AC vents and a fully digital instrument cluster in higher variants. Global models add premium touches like a nine-speaker JBL audio system, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, and Toyota Sense 3.0 safety tech.
Toyota Camry Dynamic Engine
The latest Camry will come equipped with a 2.5-liter engine paired with an electric motor, offering a robust hybrid system that generates approximately 222 bhp-an increase of 8 bhp compared to the previous model. Although a dual-motor variant is offered in international markets, it is unlikely to be launched in India.
The primary competitor to the new Toyota Camry in the Indian market will be the Skoda Superb, which is set to receive a generational update in 2025.
