Porsche Taycan Electric Sedan: Porsche India has said that it will carry out a voluntary recall on its Taycan electric sedan it has sold in the country with 176 and more units. The recall may also be dollar to and actual defect in the battery cell or module may have occurred due to an issue with the supplier.
All these models were manufactured between 21 October 2019 and 4 March 2024. According to the news they are indicating that its nuisance is the battery module supplier system in the vehicles during this time period. This defect might also result to generation of a short circuit within the battery module – a situation that will lead to overheating and in the worst case, fires.

To this date, there has no official announcement by the automobile maker regarding the recall of the cars. But it is expected that the brand will resolve the problem within a short duration and without charging its customers for the service. Owners of the said models are advised to contact their nearest Porsche authorised dealer for more information and help.
