Xiaomi YU7: he Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has taken the wraps off of its first all-electric SUV, the YU7. The company posted pictures of the forthcoming model that is due for production in China in 2025. The general features and more information on the SUV model will only be revealed by Xiaomi by mid next year, 2025.
An Overview of Design & Style of YU7
Overall, through the images, it becomes possible to source that the YU7 is an SUV that has been designed along the same concept that was unveiled when the Chinese car maker released the SU7. It is akin to the SU7 but with a higher ground clearance, and there is some inspiration from the Ferrari Purosangue as well here and there as well. At the front the YU7 has the same sloping, swept shape for the head lights and has the LED DRL in between the two head light clusters. Front bumper has also been given the same design as of SU7.
On the sides, the YU7 is refined to have some new works, such as the flush pop-out door handles, the redesigned sharp front fender vent near the front wheels, and the claddings at the lower body and wheels arches. That will not be far from true as the heights of the window line are similar to those on the Xiaomi sedan; additionally, the brand has mounted a LiDAR module on the roof above the windshield.
Rear Design 7 Interior Expectation of YU7
Only at the rear part of the YU7 it is possible to find out that the model has many things in common with a sedan, for instance, the shape of the bumper. To the same extent, characters assigned to the lightbar-style taillights with upward-swept outer edges are also similar. However, compared with the sedan, there is a roof spoiler above the rear windshield and a second lip spoiler on the rear gate of the SUV. Powertrain Specifications of YU7
YU7 still has no official specifications about powertrains from Xiaomi but some information can be obtained from Chinese scraps from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. New SUV measures 4,999mm in length, 1,996mm in width, 1,600mm in height and the wheelbase will be 3,000mm. It will start with a kerb weight of 2,405 kg with the inclusion of dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrains.
The dual-motor layout will comprise a front-motor with a power of 220 kW (295 bhp) and a rear-motor with a power of 288 kW (386 bhp) which will make a synergy power of 508 kW (681 bhp) and more powerful than the SU7 Max which only generates 664 bhp. There is no information where Mat and Mini are concerned, including performance and battery capabilities.

Automotive subsidiary has recently reached the notification of 1,00,000 units of electric sedan SU7 After entering the global market in early 2024. It also revealed the SU7 sedan in India in July but there is still doubt about it being marketed in that country.
