Polestar 3: According to Polestar CEO Thoams Ingenlath, Volvo’s subsidiary, Polestar made it’s premier in the SUV market by establishing the Polestar 3 during a presentation in New York. The company had intended to penetrate the American market with this electric SUV and got revealed that it would also be manufactured in the United States.
A Game-Changer in the Making
The launch of this car was expected for the year 2022. The Polestar remained cautious about the every technical details. CNet had reported that the targeted range was set at 600 kms. The expected price was approximately 59 lakh rupees. According to the CEO, Polestar intended for the vehicle to set a new benchmark for SUV design in the electric era.
The Polestar 3 was well equipped with a LiDar sensor, that is from the American company Luminar. It enables the autonomous driving on the highway. But by that time, Polestar had also launched it’s two cars which was ‘the plug-in hybrid Polestar 1 and the electric sedan Polestar 2, that was available in Europe at that time.
By following the Polestar 3, it was scheduled for release in the year 2022, the Polestar 4 compact SUV was slated for the year 2023. But, the sports sedan Polestar 5 was expected to arrive in this year i.e., 2024.
The Polestar 3 with its focus on innovative design is solidifying its position as a major player in the electric vehicle market.
