Mahindra XUV700 Price Hike: Mahindra has let in some of the price hikes for some of the price trims of its new and best-selling model, XUV700. The company has recently hiked up its price of XUV700 AX7 up to ₹50,000 and for AX7 L by ₹30,000.
XUV700 Price Update
The top of the line model is branded as XUV700 and both six and seven seater versions remain available. Select rich feature trims including the AX7 L DT have received a ₹50,000 premium while many other premium trims have received a standard ₹30,000 premium across.
However, the AX7 and AX7 DT models with manual transmission remain the same in price. The XUV700 now comes with MX petrol-manual for ₹13.99 lakh going up to ₹25.64 lakh for the diesel-auto AX7 L DT 4WD 7-seater. However, before that it was able to slash the prices of these variants by ₹ 2 lakh only six months back.
Features and Engine Options
The XUV700 AX7 variants add a Level 2 ADAS setup, duo tone colours, 18-inch wheels, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, auto headlight and wiper control, climate control with dual zone air conditioning, and leather wrapped look dashboard. The AX7 L comes with blind spot monitor, a 360-degree camera system, knee airbags (total of 7 airbags), an electric parking brake, a 12-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, and rear LED turn signals.
The two models can be equipped with either a 200hp 2.0-liter turbo-petrol or a 185hp 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine. The base AX7 couples a petrol engine with a manual transmission, while the AX7 L availability is limited to automatic transmission only. 4WD is found only in the AX7 L diesel variants which are more expensive, they are sold from ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,20,000 more than the AWD automatic versions.
Conversely, the original model costs the same as the Tata Safari, ranging from Rs 15.49 lakh – Rs 26.79 lakh. Yet, it is priced higher than the Hyundai Alcazar priced between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 21.55 lakh and the MG Hector Plus which costs from Rs18.00 lakh to Rs23.58 lakh.
